The OASIS started as an idea Beau Theriot had for a great restaurant on a hill. Back in 1979, Beau decided to buy a beautiful 500 acre plot of land, which contained only a ranch house on it, along the shoreline of Lake Travis. He envisioned a wonderfully successful and unique restaurant perched on top of one of the bluffs on this property. By 1982 he had made some small renovations to the ranch house and opened it as The OASIS Restaurant and Cantina Del Lago. By 2005, The OASIS had grown to be one of the largest restaurant in the world and the biggest in Texas, seating 2800 people. Most of the seating was outdoors with an outdoor entertainment venue. On June 1st, 2005, the restaurant was devastated by a fire. The OASIS remained open during the two years that followed, using only the remaining outdoor entertainment venue and served food out of a trailer. Mr. Theriot had a vision, and created a four story dream facility. Each room would have a different ambiance and theme to satisfy the tastes of every desire. The OASIS today, seats close to 2500, has a indoor entertainment facility with retractable roof panels on our third floor, and has several different banquet rooms to select from for your private event.
