The band Dream Machine of Austin, TX was dropped from its record label for criticizing feminism and immigration policy. The band The Sockets was told they could not book a venue in Olympia, Washington, home of Evergreen State College, because one or more members’ politics. Has the political hate that’s crept into local music scenes gone too far?
