A short film done with some fellow UT-Austin film students for the 2007 BloodShots Competition for Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX. We had 48 hours to write, film and edit; from the moment we received our ballot to the moment we were required to hand in a finished product. Each submitted film had to be cut down to 8 minutes and contain a number of individual requirements that were assigned to us at the start of filming. Our requirements to include were; an ear of corn, the phrase “Is that thing real?”, and our sub-genre of horror had to be “torture porn”. Torture Corn made it passed the first round of the competition, and was screened publicly as part of BloodShots 2007. Directed by Andrew Bragdon, Galen Carter-Jeffrey, and John Handem Piette. Julian Harmsen stars as “The Killer”.
