The original Hart Break was a short film written, shot, scored and edited on Oct 2-4, 2020 for the Austin 48 Hour Film Project. That version was edited for roughly 12 hours and rendered using proxy (lower quality 2K 8-bit color copies of the primary footage) video files for approximately 30 minutes.
This version was edited for an additional 6 hours and then rendered with the primary (4K RAW with 12-bit color) video files for 14 hours. Therefore this Director’s Cut is more aptly described as a “60 hour” film festival entry.
The film stars Sean Kent and features Kelly Grooms, Jake Pryor, Matt Harmatuk, Kacie Lynn Griffin, Ethan Lee Sadler, Marin Varner, Jack Jones and Chelsea Varner. Also appearing are Beth Pryor, Matthew Varner, Nathan Jones and Tony Vessa.
