Early introduction to the muzzle can be a great idea. If your dog ever needs to wear one in the future the experience will be less stressful. Most owners only put a muzzle on their dog when he/she is older and shows signs of aggression. The muzzle becomes equipment for the dog that is associated with stress or bad experiences. Over time putting the muzzle on alone will make your dog stressful. This will only occur more each time you have to put the muzzle on. However, by starting early and associating the muzzle with food and obedience this puppy will be comfortable and confident when having to wear the muzzle.
