This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Austin Film Festival. The annual competition draws crowds from around the world. Founded in 1993, Austin Film Festival was one of the first organizations to focus on screenplays and the writer’s contribution to film.
“In the first year, we had about a thousand submissions and 20 years later we’ve grown to receive a record number of entries: over 62 hundred individual screenplay submissions.” ays AFF’s Screenplay Competition Director, Matt Dy.
