A Registered Agent is a person or a company who agrees to accept legal mail and important documents on behalf of your LLC.<\/p>\n<p>The Registered Office is a physical address (cannot be a PO Box) located in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The Registered Agent is located at the Registered Office and is generally accessible during normal business hours.<\/p>\n<p>You, as an individual, can be your LLC\u2019s Registered Agent.  However, your LLC cannot be its own Registered Agent.<\/p>\n[=================================]\n<p>&#8212; COMMERCIAL REGISTERED AGENT &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>We recommend Northwest Registered Agent:<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.llcuniversity.com\/go\/texas-registered-agent\/<\/p>\n<p>(using a Registered Agent offers a degree of privacy when forming your Texas LLC)<\/p>\n[=================================]\n<p>&#8212; FILING FEE &#8212;<br \/>\n0 <\/p>\n<p>&#8212; ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT &#8212;<br \/>\nCheck or Money Order<\/p>\n[=================================]\n<p>&#8212; FILING INSTRUCTIONS &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Mail two (2) copies of your Certificate of Formation and your check or money order for 0 made payable to the \u201cSecretary of State\u201d to:<\/p>\n<p>Corporations Sections<br \/>\nSecretary of State<br \/>\nPO Box 13697<br \/>\nAustin, TX 78711<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cConsent to Serve as Registered Agent\u201d form does not need to be mailed in with your Certificate of Formation. In fact, you don\u2019t need to mail this document anywhere. It is an \u201cinternal document\u201d, meaning you will just need to keep it with your business records.  <\/p>\n[=================================]\n<p>&#8212; EXPECTED APPROVAL TIME &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>You will usually receive approval of your filing within 5-7 business days.<\/p>\n[=================================]\n<p>&#8212; WHAT DOES APPROVAL LOOK LIKE &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Once you mail the filing fee, along with two (2) completed copies of the Certificate of Formation, you can expect two things:<\/p>\n<p>First, within 5-7 business days, the State will send you back a copy of the Certificate of Formation with a stamp of approval.
