Before you get upset with me making such judgments, consider the idea that we all have both good and bad within us.<\/p>\n<p>We are all capable of horrible atrocities as well as spreading unimaginable love and happiness. We all have within us what Carl Jung called the shadow self.<\/p>\n<p>Your shadow is a part of you just as your conscious self a part of you. However, the attributes of your shadow self direct how you interact with others and the world generally.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to get rid of a shadow? Shine a light on it.
