search of purpose.

A chase for a symmetrical puzzle piece that we're not sure even exists.

I spent my whole life running.

For 8 years, I've been on a journey to find my purpose,

convinced I needed to search every corner of the earth.

But sometimes, what we're looking for is right in front of our face.

Something crazy happens when you stop running.

You crave her smile, her affection, and her happiness, as if it is your own.

Most importantly, you find your purpose.

Questions that you know the answer to are sometimes the hardest to ask.

['I have an important question for you.']
But to answer that question, we have to go back in time. [Nope, even further than that.]

This is Kelly. Born January 16, 1991.

This is me. Born January 16, 1992.

We're the same age for about 30 minutes each year.

We started dating about 16 years later.

A classic love story of the quarterback and the equestrian.

We did 3 years of long distance, one year of medium distance, and moved to Texas.

Oh yeah, Greg came too.

A lot of people say you should date different people through college.

But since I was 16, I knew this is the girl I was going to marry.

We've experienced a lot together, and have seen each other grow up for almost 8 years.

We've laughed, cried, danced, traveled, fought, celebrated, and still have a bucket list about a mile long.

We're far from perfect. We still have our disagreements.

But they're usually about pretty silly things, like when we're gonna get married.

One time, Kelly and her sister asked if we should get a puppy. I said no way, so they got 2.

You could say I got over that one pretty quick.

This year, I knew it was a surprise of my own. I had to be careful, because Kelly always wants to figure them out.

I had to make 100% sure that I could do something amazing for her without her knowing.

Even if it was right in front of her face.

I devised a plan.

Step 1: Pick the perfect setting. It has to be creative. Something she never sees coming.

'Why don't you make a movie?' Perfect.

Step 2: Employ her sister as my personal spy. Rename her in all your contacts.

Give your secret movie a new name to raise no suspicion.

Step 3: Find the most perfect, beautiful.....Nice try Kel.

Step 4: Keep everything a secret.

Now back to that important question..."
