Their menu consists of items like pad kaprow (stir fried pork with fried Thai basil and fried egg), som tom (papaya salad), and gai yang (Thai roast chicken). You won\u2019t be finding any pad thai or fried rice at Dee Dee, as all of their recipes are Northern specialties from Lakana\u2019s home region of Isan.<\/p>\n<p>Lakana and Justin met by chance in Thailand, fell in love, and ultimately moved to Austin, Texas and started Dee Dee. They use Northern Thai ingredients like chili paste, fish sauce, lemongrass, kaffir lime, and holy basil in their dishes.
