Fully Plant-based Brunch at a Vegan Gastropub!
We first visited the Beer Plant restaurant on our first trip to Austin and enjoyed a delicious lunch there. Ever since our initial experience, we’ve been wanting to go back for more of their delicious plant based foods, especially for their brunch menu items!
We got this opportunity over the weekend and had to share our experience with you!
We started off with some refreshing drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Jordan ordered the Reishi Rescue Elixir while I enjoyed a yummy Lavender and Blood Orange Mimosa Cocktail!
For our main entrees, I had to have the ‘Chicken’ & Waffles which featured chicken-fried seitan served with vegan waffles, drizzled in hot sauce, and a side of Texas whiskey infused maple syrup. Jordan got the ‘Egg’ McMackin which was a delicious breakfast sandwich with tofu ‘egg’ scramble, melted vegan cheese, spinach, tomato, and avocado in between a toasted everything bagel which he paired with their Home Fries.
The Beer Plant is located in Tarrytown which is just west of Downtown Austin and has plenty of parking both in front and behind the restaurant!
