AUSTIN, Tx — Teachers in Pflugerville started their school year with pencils, paper, and pastries! CBS Austin anchor, Allison Miller, shows us how a local company set the tone on the first day, making a difference one donut at a time.
A viewer messaged us, letting us know about the good work Pflugerville Realty is doing, under the radar.
Owner of Pflugerville Realty, Chris Templeton, is a former educator. He knows the struggles that teachers face and how hard they work. About 5 years ago, he decided to bring donuts to a few campuses. After asking what schools wanted to participate the number grew and grew. This year they provided 200 dozen donuts (That’s over 2,000 pastries) to over 40 campuses for teachers and staff in Pflugerville ISD.
Chris and his employees headed to Round Rock Donuts well before the crack of dawn to pick them up!
They also opened up a tab at the nearby Dazzle Coffee for teachers to grab a cup a joe with their donuts.
The donuts are just a small part of what Chris and his team at Pflugerville Realty do to give back to teachers and the community.
